Any members in the Washington DC/Baltimore area?

Making a quick trip there end of next week need to know what is available at box stores (other than majesty's) or if there is a nice nursery to visit in the area.

Will be in the Laurel, MD area specifically. I will be driving so would be a shame if I couldn't bring back a couple of palms.......

I am in Ashburn, VA. just moved here a month ago from NC. I work at a nursery and WE dont have much of any right now and I dont know if WE will get any more in since they dont seem to believe that palms can live here too. thats a shame because I have a couple hundred in my backyard that are laughing at this cold weather.

Every major store sells palms around here (Lowe's, Home Depot) but they usually don't arrive for at least another month. Some small nurseries carry them here but you'll probably end up with old stock at this time of the year.

Sorry I missed this. There is a fine nursery in Laurel that always has good Trachys, no matter how much their staff might deny it.

Damn! lol, I stayed in Laurel when there. I went to a few Lowe's and Home Depots but they didn't have anything different than we have here in Nebraska.

I'll be back there though late summer to help my daughter move as she is getting a new duty station in San Diego(yes, near Jungle Music!!)

What is the name of the nursery in Laurel? I'll have to stop by there in Sept.

Not like I need more palms, I have 8 mail order palms all coming over the next 10 days...........

Palm collecting has become an obsession now. :(

Behnke's on Route 1. Great place.

They always have a few Trachys lying around. However, the staff will not know what you are talking about. You just have to find them yourself. Easy enough.
