Post by Beny » Sun Nov 04, 2012 4:19 pm

Trachycarpus in good shape in Blainville near Montreal. It will be protected soon for the winter with the other trachy and 2 washy. Thats give a real tropical look around the pool.

Yes, the washy was planted by the customer this spring. He bought them at the botanical center for 90$ each, good deal. I sold him the protection kit for the Trachy and he will try to protect the Washy too. I ll try with my washy at home, and will follow the development during the winter.

Sometimes Home Depot sells Washingtonia robustas for 35 bucks. 12" pot, 6 foot tall palm. I think $90 for that (very nice, but) little guy is a little high.
Looking forward to see your protection measures.

wow. I am a little jealous those palms look really good. Would love to see how you protect those palms.
