How fresh are these trachy seeds

Post by mpertz » Tue Jul 03, 2012 11:54 pm

Hello dear friends,

I ordered off eBay 100 trachy X wagnerianus seeds. The seller was presenting them as fresh harvest (anyway, I doubt about that) and it arrived two days ago. Now look at them how they look! Are these fresh? Is it gonna germinate? In some of them, you can see a hole...
Please advise. The user I bought them from is bananajoe from Canada.

All trachy and yucca seeds i buy or sell are ripe when black.... but what do I know?
I get tens of thousands of yucca seeds and the seconds are lacking the black colour and I usually just throw them out (up to 10% of my count, depending on the wholesaler). Then again, what do I know?
Why not ask the seller?

Usually I don't leave a negative feedback to the seller, but come on guys...he should not advertise them as "fresh" if they look like hell, or if he knows that aren't fresh....

While I've never met bananajoe, I do know he is a knowledgeable grower of many tropical and sub-tropicals.

Why not email him your photo?
I bet he has a logical reply.
