Ground was drier than popcorn, so it got a good drink.

looks great Barb! I spent the whole day in the garden yesterday too. Your palm is getting to the size where you may see a bloom.........did you see any blooms emerging?? I visited Bill Saturday afternoon and some of his Trachy's were just pushing out some bloom spikes. Bill showed interest in my potted monkey puzzle so I gave it to him......this thing was breaking my back.

Bill's a fortunate guy to receive that beauty.
getting to the size where you may see a bloom
It bloomed last year but the pollen was wet in the shipping package, and none took.

Saw some emerging on Coconutmike's in Montreal, no wonder because of their heat.
Mine's not starting yet.

That's all right, Tim.

That looks awesome after being overwintered, good job. Do they actually have to be a certain size to bloom? I saw some really small Waggys blooming on my trip. Maybe it was something else? I didn't get a picture.

Andy, thanks.
IMO it's more to do with age than size.
Kinda like puberty

Hey Barb , that windmill looks great. That tree looks almost big enough to flower maybe this year or next. I wish you had more big palms in your yard I love those results
Cheers

Great job Barb. It looks like yours is a male too. I`m hoping this year some of my other Trachy`s will flower and will be females. Fun time of the year when the palms are on their own again until Nov.
