I have a very large Washingtonia (I think it's a Robusta) up against a window in my home. It has done extremely well in a pot over the last 4 years and has actually gained about 4 inches of trunk. It is slow to replace fronds, though, probably considering it's in a pot.

I'm wondering if there are any recommendations in regards to how to keep this palm doing well. I give it some palm fertilizer about every 3 months, and just recently started giving it some miracle grow with waterings.

Kirk that Washy will do much better if you pot it up. It needs to grow more roots to sustain more top growth. Ex. if it`s in a five gallon pot try putting it in a 10 gallon with rooting hormone.Don`t fertilize for the first few weeks while the roots adjust to transplanting. You will see results within a month.
