I was about to give up on them when I found out that they refuse to germinate. Few hours later one seed surprised me! :D

El nino means heavy rains here. This month we experience rainfall almost every day, but it's too early to tell if this is really El nino's influence. I need sun and more sun 8)

Yuccas don't mind growing in poor soils, believe me ;) The most important is drainage.

I'm sure envious of your annual average temperatures... :shock: especially winter. Had no idea that Plock Poland was that mild. Barb The truth is I live in continental climate, which means I have warm-hot summers and cool, sometimes very cold winters. It can be either -30C or +5C, but colder winter...

You haven't had much of a winter, marceli, so it's surprising that one or two aren't doing well. Barb They didn't look mint before winter came, so I knew it's gonna happen. I couldn't resist and have bought some Y. brevifolia var. jaegeriana seeds. I always soak seeds before planting and I was more than happy seeing tiny root emerging from the seed. It tripled its size over night:
