I have always wanted to try some of his amazing plants. I've been pretty happy with the quality. Have u ever tried opuntia basilaris? I was wondering how hardy they actually are. Yes, I have tried many. There are many to try from but only a few that I have found to be truly hardy. There is a...

Nice pics! Have you ever tried Agave utahensis kaibabensis? Is that an agave neomexicana in the picture? I got an Agave utahensis kaibabensis from Kelly Grummins (coldhardycactus.com) It was outside during last winter when we got down to -13 F and it survived. It didn't even get spots on it like my...

At -21C everything would be dead in my Garden  Is that the norm for Idaho temps in early December? No, not normally that cold, that early. It did get that cold back in 2010 or 2011, and was -12F (officially) in late November. Killed a few plants and froze the top off the Y. brevifolia in the...

Nice pics! Have you ever tried Agave utahensis kaibabensis? Is that an agave neomexicana in the picture? I have tried Agave utahensis kaibabensis, but it last one year? Maybe if I got it to a bigger plant. I think I covered it also, still died. The one in the pic has been the only truly hardy agave...

Thanks for the reply. Damn, 1 more zone and maybe I could plant a Washy. Maybe I'll just move haha. I bet one would grow there, have seen large ones in Nampa, and Boise Idaho. They removed the best ones, I think because after some winters they are slow to recover. (no protection) They also have lot...

Sorry to hear you had problems with damage on some of your plants. Presumably the temperature issue does not happen in their own natural habitat? http://www.achat-vente-palmiers.com/en/yucca/440-yucca-brevifolia.html#/37-container-25_litres Still too wet for me so lots of sighs  On the norther...

Mine does not look that good.... part of the problem being a rapidly growing Trachycarpus Nova which is blocking out light....bad positioning I guess  http://s15.postimg.org/d0vhdzdrr/IMG_4019.jpg Thank you. I think those look awesome! That is one cool jungl...
