Real deal?

Kansas I can tell you the Washingtonia filifera seeds are about the size of a bb like from a gun. They are light brownish in color. The D. wheeleri seeds look like you described are the real deal. I would go ahead and germinate and plant. Here is a site for germinating seeds and where the roots come...

Kansas my tip would be to purchase sterilized soil from a nursery. I would then add perlite or vermiculite and coarse sand for proper drainage. Spending more at the start will reap better plants and trees later. John 8)

Kansas you should plant them when you see the root and green stem are going separate ways. Plant so the green stem is just below the suface of the soil. I would use 1 gal pots with well draining soil, peat ,perlite or vermiculite coarse sand mix it all together. I would also use superthive to satura...

Yuccaman ask them if they come with a one year guarantee. I would think that these would be run of the mill Trachy`s and you would definitely have to protect them anything under -15 c 4.5 f to have any foliage left the next spring. They may survive below these temps but the tree will be playing catc...
