In regards to my preferences, I really like all palms but my favourites are,
1.Howea forsteriana (Kentia Palm),
2.Veitchia merrillii (Adonidia Palm),

I agree with everyone here. I would wait till you typically have your last frost. Also, if you can find a smaller Basjoo for less money it would be your best value. These guys grow very fast!

Here in North Toronto we dropped to a low of -15.2C/+4.64F on Dec 13 since then temps have moderated and will continue that way for the next two weeks. I can only hope it stays that way.
