Juvenile palm is almost 5 years old. Old palms have old irregular names on the label - Sabal havanensis. I assume, because of obvious beginning of trunk, it could be Sabal louisiana (or Sabal minor var. louisiana).

Erik, thanks for update. Here in Zagreb Botanical garden Sabal minor was frozen and died in winter 1984/85 after prolonged period of cold weather with same absolute minimum temperature -24C. Hi Andy, there is no whether station so I don't know exactly what the lowest temperature was. My weekend house is cca 20-30 km east from nearest whether station. Butia odorata is marginal here with passive winter protection and I live in zone 7b. Rhapidophyllum hystrix, Sabal minor, Trachycarpus fortunei, Trachycarpus wagnerianus, Chamaerops humilis var. cerifera are all hardier here than Butia odorata. That is my experience so far. Definitely one of them is Y. flaccida. If is Y. cernua natural hybrid, one of the gene donor is probably Y. flaccida, as you have mentioned earlier.
