If I had to guess

40ct Aloifolia = Yucca aloifolia
25ct "Soaptree" = Yucca elata
100ct "Soapweed" = Yucca glauca
30ct "Spanish Dagger" Yucca treculeana.....but could be others too suck Y. faxoniana, Y. torreyi, Y. schidigera, Y. aloifolia, Y. carnerosana, etc....

I recall my Y. elatas getting burn when young......some even dying. I 'weeded' out the weak ones. My last remaining Y. elata has over 3' of trunk and leaf tips to 7 feet. 2 acres is a dream! I have a TON of Rhodo hybrids germing now too. I'll have to create a list of them. Some are just way too cool to imagine like R. 'Hardy Giant' x macabeanum. I hope some turn into beauties. Which ones are you trying?

I agree......watering plants this time of year is aweful. My garden is probably 38F and plants still dry out every 3 weeks....we need some heat to get them outside again.

welcome to the board! It appears the snow loads bent the Yuccas over............too far over in my opinion to prop them up again. I think new off shoots will grow where the trunk is bent and around the base if you stake it up again. If you really want to save it, prop it up with a stake and see what...

I agree with you......wind protection will help the Eucs a lot. Eucs seem to show damage late too. I recall some Eucs growing from upper branches only to die in a couple weeks to regrow much lower on thicker branches. I hope this 'hardy' snow gum doesn't loose much branches.
