You re right Mike, i saw that last summer when i went to Long Branch, NJ, i stopped at the fuel station and started to pump gas to my car and the guy looked at me and said nothing. While pumping gas, i saw the note on the pump that im not allowed to serve myself :shock: ...a little oups i said :lol:...

Sure the box method is the best for now, but i try to find another way to protect bigger palms. With the wrapping, i think it s the way to do that! I used heattape, it warm to about 50c, maybe it burn some leaves who touched directly the cable. I try the LED lights cordon (for Christmas decoration),...

I sprayed the palms with fongicide/bactericide before, there s a space of about 1-2 inches between the palm and the protection. Thats allow the moisture to go to the ground. And i made an opening on the side and the top of the protection to allow some ventilation. And for now it work not to bad :win...

Yeah, and its not looking good for the next 2 weeks. There s a map from Environment Canada. And they are right almost all the time. Look, almost all the earth continent are below the normal temp. and the ocean still above

FYI, the temperature Under 4 inches of pinkpanther insulation (fiberglass) is 10c more than the outside temperature. I placed the probe between the 4 inches insulation and the hotwater reservoir insulation and i get 10c gain. The heatcable is located between the trunck and the hotwater reservoir ins...

No snow here since 3 weeks :D ...but bariely cold, now its -30c :shock: ....we had at least 8-10 nights Under the -20c mark, never saw that since a lot of year.
