Jeff What about digging out the Japanese Maple? Oh thank goodness...thought you dug it out because you didn't like it. Barb No no no lol, moved it forward in the bed. It will now be in front of the Windmill and actually balances out the beds a little better with the Musa on the other corner.

Adam,

I was going to say how well it seemed to do through the winter. With some sarcasm of course. Did you put any protection on the plant or left out to the elements. I know Beamsville is warmer in the winter then we are here in Ajax.

Adam,

You have some travelers palms? One of my favourite plants. Can you find them locally (Beamsville) and such?

I have been spraying it with an insecticide but kinda forgot for the last few weeks.

If the plant is also sun burned, is this something that most likely occurred from being moved from the greenhouse to outside on a south facing side of the house? Will the plant adapt as it shoots out new leaves?

Over wintering a Sago Palm outdoors.

Does anyone over winter their Sago Palms outside during the winter? I have 3 I put into the ground a few weeks ago but was planning on digging them back up again in the fall. Barb has suggested I may try to winter them outdoors but I don't know.... http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/4858...

Jim, We've had good weather here for almost 3 weeks, not as nice as our 30 degree days back in March when everyone thought summer was here to stay lol. Barb, What about digging out the Japanese Maple? Just re-located it up front more. My aunt last night walking by thought it was new because she said...

Barb, I picked up the Sago's back in March or Early April when they were on sale at a local Nursery. I put them in the ground in the middle of April. I'll probably end up digging them back up for the winter unless I build a greenhouse around them where they sit. They seem to be taking pretty well to...

Some early pictures of the gardens. I'll hopefully get time to finish them this weekend and get some Palms planted as well. Front Yard with Musa, a yucca, Japanese Maple and some Canna's. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/543289_10151888579695001_582380000_24472112_1724469574_n.jpg One ...

What's wrong with my Musa?

Ok, had it in my green house for the winter and it was doing well, its been planted outside now for a couple weeks but the leaves are going brown much like they did last year. Is this a fungus issue or something else? http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/527853_10151888552975001_582380000_...
