Going to Extreme Western Kansas

In May. There are millions of cactus out there. Not sure what kind, but I know they put out a very pretty red flower. My question is, how do I know if it has seeds? I can't think that I have seen a cactus with seeds but I wasn't looking either. If I get some, I will send the seeds out to you guys wi...

I just wrote that I am going to wait a week or so before I order. The wife wants (OK I do too) a big screen TV for the game, plus our basement is huge and all we have is a little 27". We have to squint to see it from the couch.
So I will get with you in a week or so. How much was it again?

I am keeping them under 14 hours of grow light and a humidifier pointed high on the leave canopy for 6 hours. Is still OK or should I not run the humidifier on it due to the mist sometimes collecting and running down the frond to the trunk?

"SuperThrive"

Had a good friend tell me about this stuff. Went out and bought it tonight and read the bottle and read some net stuff. Anybody try this? Sounds like it's the biggest and best thing. I planted my Trachys in a new pot after getting them from Plant Delights. I am curious as to if I watered them too mu...

Naw, not really.
The leave is like a plate with the spikes on the top of the leave only sticking out about an inch. Almost like a midgets hand  But the leave is huge. About the size of a dinner plate.
I may just buy it so I can take a pic.
THanks anyways.

Couldn't find it there.
It was planted in a pot with multiple trunks and after closer look had many thorns on the fronds.
The leave is HUGE and most are "inverted" due to size.
It almost looks like a Washingtonia, but do they plant these in pots w/ multiples? And do Washys have thorns?

Thats fine :D
I will buy some "SuperThrive" when I go the store next.
Should I unpot and put sand in now, or just leave them for now.
All are under grow lights for 13-14 hours. Is this fine?

ID a palm for me

I went to a nursery today and I saw they have a palm that I might want. But all she told me was that it was a "Fan Tail Palm". The tree had multiple trunks and they look exactly like the trunks of my Pygmy Date Palm. With the multiple trunks and hair like brown fibers. The shoots looked li...

I have a pygmy date palm that I bought about a month or so ago. After I bought it is when I started to mist it along with my other palms with a humidifier for about 10 hours a day, with a plant light shining for 13-14 hours. Yes my other trees are benefiting and looking good, however my Pygmy date i...

Thats what I read when I went to "Garden Watchdog" that they were pricey. But when I told the lady what I wanted and then asked for postage charge, she told me it was only $21.00. Is this $21.00 per tree? Cause $21.00 for all 3 together seems pretty darn good. But then again I am used to s...
