Scott that`s a great idea "sun tubes"for the garage. I have been using T5 fluorescent bulbs to give extra light in my garage. The sun would be a whole lot cheaper 8) How much all in for one sun tube? I may need two or three next winter.

Scott great pics and info on your palms. Really like the barrel`s for protection idea. I`m not the only palm nut using the garage as a storage area for palms. What are you using to heat the garage in the winter?

Yuccas made it through another winter!!!

Here are my Yuccas that have been planted since 2008. The Y.rigidas look like they barely made it again this year.

Hi Barb. I have had some mold issues not pink but I`m sure they are just as bad no matter what color. I`ve lost a few palms because I didn`t treat them right away. The mold killed the newest spear and then it was off to a happier place :x I`m going to check all mine again for mold.

Barb I mummy wrapped the CIDP with fiberglass insulation. That was it`s downfall. No light for 2 1/2 months and lack of air circulation caused spear rot. I sprayed the crown with hydrogen peroxide just in time. It took all spring summer and fall to grow 3 small fronds. It would not take another wint...

Just my 2 cents worth. First off great job. You will have to put a small fan on those seedlings as they will fall over from lack of resistence from outside wind. They will stretch for the sunlight outside. Get a strong grow light with high lumens to slow the stretch. Keep up the good work.
