Great pics Jim. I`m thinking of planting one of my Ensete Maurelli. How much of a rootball do you dig up with it in the fall? Does it get repotted it or does it go into cold storage roots exposed? Thanks.

Thanks Mike. We have only got to 28c once so far this spring. A cooler than normal spring usualy means a scorching 40c summer 8) . Thanks Jim and Tim for your comments. Dylan I really should have a greenhouse for all my palms, bananas and tropicals that can`t be planted. Some day soon gonna happen! ...

A video of my potted palms
Here is a video of my collection of potted palm trees. A few will be planted this year as I need to make room and they are root bound. Most of the larger Washy`s will be sold. I love this time of the year! 8) It`s all good until I start digging the holes for the planting! :x http://www.youtube.com/w...

Tim it is a variegated form of Y.gloriosa. I bought two of these a few years back and will plant the other soon. Not sure of the specific type of Y. gloriosa it is. Not much of a test for it as it was with my W.filifera. palm enclosure. Where will the new growth come from on the Y.aloifolia? I hope ...

First Video update Okanagan palms
Here is my first attempt at a video update on how my palms and yuccas did this winter. Everything looked good until the last part of the video with my Yucca aloifolia. I might dig this one up and replace it with another I have.

Round T. fortunei fronds
I noticed today while doing some trimming on a couple of my Trachy`s that one of them had perfectly round fronds. A few fronds overlapping more than 360 deg. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/6991112589/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/6991112597/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364...

A couple of larger Y.rostrata
Was out today and brought my camera. Here are a couple of nice Y. rostrata 10 min drive from my house. The first one looks as though it had a little setback recently. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/6991112573/ The other one looks great. It also has some prickly pear cactus for some compan...
