Been a mild rainy summer for the most part with only moderate heat,highest(a couple times) was 93F (34c)including yesterday. I think it is really hard to gauge cold hardiness of young palms,that said,it has been extremely tough. Probably need about 3' of trunk to see the real hardiness of some of these Trachys,it will be interesting to see how it does against Tesan,Takil,Wagnerianus,Fortunei and Nainital... possibly also ...

I feel your pain...a few years ago it was like
that here,the soil was like chalk and the Bananas
would reluctantly grow a new leaf only when 1"+ rain fell...

Update

Looks like 93F so far,I know the heat index was
around 110F one day....the big story continues to
be the abundant rainfall....close to 10" last month
and over an inch last night again.Never seen the
plants grow so fast!

Pretty small....they are still in the fuzzy leaf
