Great reply, Dr. Francko. It's reassuring to see an inventor of a product standing behind it and actually taking the time to talk to the consumers about it. I'll be trying Freeze-Pruf next year for sure!

FreezePruf

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm thinking about ordering some (from http://www.liquidfence.com/FreezePruf.html ), but I'd like to hear about people's experiences (if any) with it before I do. If it does protect up to the extra 9 F, then it could be quite beneficial to my palms. Thanks! C...

Up to date - Dec. 17th/08
lowest overnight temp ~ -11 C
Bedford (Halifax), Nova Scotia
Zone 6a/6b

This winter has been fairly inconsistent. A big snowfall early on, but since then we have had temperatures in the mid teens, even yesterday it was around 7 or 8.

Just a question

Why is there no "For Sale" forum? Are people supposed to post anything they have for sale in the "OT" or the "Wanted" section? I know people aren't going to have much for sale in the winter, but I'm just wondering

Ok thanks alot for all of the help :D I live in Bedford actually (if you remember where that is, zone 6a/6b) and on a bit of a hill. The downside to this is that during the winter it is maybe 1 degree C cooler than beside the water, but the upside is that during the summer I don't have the wind from...

Hey from Halifax

I just wanted to say hi to everyone on here, it seems like a great forum. I live in Halifax zone 6 a (but am originally from Ontario). Currently I grow some carnivorous plants, some bromeliads, a ponytail palm, a bunch of cacti, an orchid, etc, inside. Outside I have some kind of opuntia and a y. re...
