Looks great Barb. Monday here looks to be a bit chilly -2c. Going to bring in the bananas and tender tropicals. I hate this time of the year. Ever thought of using house fiberglass insulation to wrap the Washy`s trunk. I used it last year and it worked like a charm for my W. filifera and a couple of...

Barb that would be so cool to get one of your pomegranate seedlings. We look forward to your visit. I`ll wait on the Trachy seeds till they turn black on the outside skin. These seeds should have some cold hardy provenance as this Trachy has seen close to -18c 0f for 3 out of 6 years since planted. ...

Lonely Trachycarpus fortunei!
This male Trachy wasn`t waiting around for a date with a female to produce seeds  It looks to have about 40 seeds on it. I was going to cut the flower stalks off like I did last year. I`m glad I didn`t  . http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/8007398556/in/photostream/ http://www.fli...

Aaron super pics of Y. faxon. If there is a yucca that closely resembles a palm tree I would think this would be it. I have a 3 gal. grown from seed that will be planted next spring. I hope it grows up to be as nice as the ones you posted. Igor great pics of your Y. faxon and Y. nana. They will grow...

Bought some more palms!
I couldn`t turn down the deal for these three palms. Two Trachy`s, and one Butia capitata 600.00 for the three 8) . The one Trachy has 4 1/2" ft of trunk. It also looks to be either a hybrid Waggy x fortunei or T. nainital very stiff fronds with no droop on the ends at all. Any thoughts from P....

Barb your tropicals are looking good! Too bad the young Chrismas palms got to much sun. Here is a Foxtail palm you gave me a couple of years ago. Starting to pick up growth now. http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N ... hotostream

Severely root bound Med. fan palm planted
This Med fan palm I have had since 2005 was starting to decline in the 24 " box it was in. Now that it is planted it should take off . 8) http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/7193034224/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/67364497@N07/7193034138/?edited=1 http://www.flickr.com/pho...

Barb the W.filibusta should make it. What were the low temps it saw last winter? Tavi I believe those large Washy`s are from Pensylvania. A little warmer than Chicago in the winter. http://home.ptd.net/~mishele/webpage/index.htm
