Looks like you could have a Nainital,possibly...Takil has short triangular ligules...
and lots of tomentum- at least compared to Fortunei- do you recall where you got it?

Otherwise..Takil,Nainital,Fortunei,Tesan,Wagnerianus
should all be solid as far as Trachys go..

Your area is a little better off then mine in winter... Mulch would be the key here,at least 4" and better if its 6" keeps the soil from freezing but you need about/at least a 3' area...I have pulled the mulch back after some pretty cold winter temps and I think the lowest readings @4"...

I like that idea for sure but it would get pricey here for me with so many to cover... The temp range is fine...one thing I have done is to wrap string around my enclosures and then put in a piece of cardboard orientated so that the winter sun is blocked during the "warmest"part of the day...

Did your delosperma cooperi survive 2 winters ago Jim? Mine all rotted. In fact, all my ice plants rotted. I've tried 4 different varieties and they've had excellent drainage. What usually happens is,the main part of the plant that goes into the ground rots of and leaves the remainder of the plant ...

Their cold hardiness is because the growth point is
still protected underground but regardless...that ground was hard!

that Colorguard sure is a pretty

Do you use any kind of cover over them?
If looks like with 2 fence sides already in play
that you could put a rain cover at least coming off
that and maybe some sides later for winter.

I don't know if it would be good for it to
flush now....if you want to force a Cycad
you can use a high N fert that doesn't have weed
killer of anything like that...it really works.
I have used lawn fert in the past to force my Sago.
I think it was like 29-0-1 or something.
