Yeah I like using nail files for delidding. I found that palm seeds are much easier to delid than my Canna seeds, which im thankful for because it hurts your fingers after a while. Ill keep posted if anything germinates.

The coldest temp here thus far in southern Illinois zone 6b was 21 F. Merry Christmas!!!! oh and today it was like 52 F, so much for a white Christmas, lol.

If it helps im in USDA Zone 6b close to the border of zone 7a. I can grow some zone 7 plants without any protection.

Thanks the coldest average temp here is about 20 F. Yeah I was kept it on until late March just to be safe. It could prob withstand the weather though without protection in March.
