60 mph is much better than 30 m/sec.... But it's not about us.... THe North part of Kazakhstan got 30 m per second wind along with snow last week... All settlements were closed... No commuting between them for 2-3 days.

Yeah.... Slowly moving down to minus 15 C next week. The third decade of December is the coldest at the absolute minimum temperature almost every winter but January is a coldest month at the average one.

I left my yucca plants and some agaves for overwintering inside of my unheated GH. LAst morning it was minus 11C outside but 0 C inside of the GH. It is the Bonus!

Andy, Adam. Normally the winter starts in my area after December the 1st. And it STARTS... A lot of snow, some cold. But January is a realy winter month here. The coldest one. By the way Omaha, Nebraska has the same climate as my town has. We are might more snowy but absolutely windless...

Barb, yes, I know.Much snow - Much COLD. Nothing special - just wheat straw. My Fatsia starts forming inflorescence but was covered. The only palm survived last winter has been put in the pot for overwintering inside. So I have no many exotic plants to be proud for. Sorry for that!

You are right. Last year I got my "nana" seeds from http://www.koehres-kaktus.de/, but there are no this yucca species at there either. Perhaps the trustable resources will have them later this year.
