my indoor rostrata's leaves are wilting. Should I stop watering it at all? It grows in plastic pot with sandy-gravel soil, so very quick drying. It has very little light, unfortunately, but temperature is pretty high. I know, it's bad for overwintering. :? If wilting, it needs water. But needs cool...

Neat to see the seedlings popping up like that. Had no idea they were so difficult to transplant. I planted a 4-strap leafed sabal last fall out of sheer frustration that it hadn't grown at all in the pot in 4 or 5 years. Then I forgot to protect it when temps hit -21C...and a month later 2 feet of ...

Not sure if they were good/bad seeds or I did something wrong? Generally procedure is at fault (versus seed quality). I haven't germinated many yuccas, but the ones that made it popped during winter next to the wood stove in the basement; warm concrete floor under seed pots. Wet/cold seldom germina...

Glad you two are in comfortable weather! It finally quit snowing. You should see the streets!  Old folks, one with a cane, trying to get over 5 foot tall plowed snowbanks at street corners. Semi trucks high-centering as they turn onto streets because lanes were plowed too narrowly. Despit...
