I would crank your heater back some, the thermo cubes are rated for 1500 watts and that's likely what your heater is on full power. You really don't want your heat to go off like mine did last year

When digging up any sabal from the wild they really need to be almost hurricane cut to ease the shock. It can be done but you also need to be very careful digging. One nip on the growth bud under ground and your finished.

Yeah, those are orange birds, they stay in the pots. The roots get really big and they try growing into the ground anyways. If they get repotted they will most likely get birds next summer.

I wasn't trying to discourage you from fertilizing your indoor palms, I was just telling you what I've done with mine over winter. If you have the proper light for them juice away, my light is just ok in the winter for my indoor palms and others, only so many south windows on my house
