Excellent pics of Plantasia Cactus Gardens! :toothy7: Looks like paradise to me. I actually drove through Twin Falls a couple of years ago on my way to Las Vegas. :D Does Twin Falls has the same climate as you? I'll have to check that place out next time i'm in the area. :D

What's your favorite yucca?

I like all yuccas and would love to grow all of em but I think i would have to say my favorite is Elata. Anyone growing Yucca whipplei? I have read they are hardy to a dry zone 6? Hi Jim,

I have seen some pineapple plants for sale that are smaller than the one i have grown that had little pineapples starting to grow. I wonder if there is a trick to get them started? Just have to wait and see i guess. :D

I am planning on getting a few 1 gallon size y. elatas this spring and i wonder if i should cover them next winter if we get a bad cold spell? Maybe they will grow some decent roots by winter time. :D

I'm not really sure what type of yucca it is? Someone suggested it might be a yucca glauca but looking at the leaves they look to wide to be a glauca.

I was tempted today to start work on my new cacti bed with all this mild weather we are having. :D

Thanks for the info. :D I did find that out. I got a few Musa Basjoo plants last summer. I also have some M.sikkimensis seeds germinating right now. Haven't heard about M.balbisiana i will have to check it out.

I think we have had it for the cold. Temps should be above freezing now. Maybe the odd night it might drop. Now that i said this we will probably have another cold snap with blizzard conditions. LOL

Hey Aaron,

What has been your lowest temp so far? I have hit -19 C (-2.2 f) during our cold snap. It's warmer now with overnight lows above freezing. :D
