This Happens every year around the Frist frost... O well He Cleans up by throwing it in the Garden. No Really I stared the protection of the Banana trees now.

In inland south east Europe we have regularly,every winter prolonged cold spells between January and February with many days below zero....

Why no heat? Frankly, I'm not optimistic. Distance to electric outlet? Try a long cord. If that won't work, you can put plastic milk jugs full of hot tap water under the protection every evening. A pain in the back, but better than nothing. I would try that but There no way to get heat to the garde...

Winter is comeing... O god no.

How should I protect my Washingtonia filabusta. Problem is I can't use heat. Any ideas that can help protect this palm. I thought about building a 6 foot Rose Box(Cone) Or should I follow the Palms won't grow here Book. winter is myt Bible for me in the winter lol.

Got this today and repotted since it came bare root caryota mitis var. palm is about 12 inchs tall and I got a steal on it due to some cold damage. can't wait till it starts sending up new canes. the variegation is pretty heavy as well so it might be awhile. http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n370/...

It will be 25 tonight and tomorrow night. I'm not too worried about it though. By the end of the week it will be 60s for the high and mid 30s at night. I think so spring has finally arrived.
