What kind of tree is this?
My Dad's friend has a tree in his yard, and I can't seem to identify it. It's only about 15-20 feet tall, and has these leaves, as well as these red colored stringy pieces. Anyone know what this is?

Planting needle palms soon...
Ok, So I ordered 2 Needle palms to plan in front of our house..... How far should I plant them from the house? I know they get fairly big, so this would be a great thing to know..
Also.... any tips on planting these?

Anyone else in Ohio here? Got a few Q's
If there is anyone else here in Ohio, I have a few questions. Anyone know of a nursery in the Cleveland area that may happen to have T. Fortuneis? I am looking to put 2 in our front yard, as well as some Needle Palms up against the house, however this being Ohio, it's kinda hard to find this stuff ...

Miracle-Gro ok for palms?
So the little card on my Chinese Fan Palm I have in my room recommends I fertilize it once a month. I picked up some Miracle-Gro Indoor plant food spikes. Are these ok to fertilize it with, or will I need to buy a palm specific food? If not, should I just follow the directions on the package? Any ...

What palm is this?
Ok, so I picked up a potted palm a few days ago at a local store because it looked very healthy. However, I am fairly certain that the tag on it is wrong. It says it's a Chinese Fan Palm, however upon looking online, it looks nothing like one, but more like a Needle palm in some aspects. I am most ...

Hello from Amherst, OH!
Hi! I'm William, I am completely new to palm trees. They have always fascinated me since I saw them in South Carolina when I was younger. Now I want some! I've done some thorough research and found that I should be able to plant Needle Palms as well as Chinese Windmill Palms. However since I am ...
