It is a washie if the frongs have the little thorns on It. I sure have had my arms scrached so many times i know one when i see it.

Laaz, How log did it take for your Brahea to reach that size. I have three potted that i grew from seed and it seem they are going to be real slow growers compaired to say, washingtonia robusta.

the trunk of that windmill looks to be 15 or more years old. I have never seen one with that small fronds before.It must have something wrong with it.

Hey Laaz, I was told that the jelly palm was called the cocos astralis. I don't care for them although they are really cold hardy. They are lots of them in eastern NC

Nice looking brahea you have there Laaz. I have 3 potted up since april but its going to be a while before they have any size. I also have 11 washie;s that are really doing great over a foot tall since april. Laaz you could grow most anything in your neck of the woods. I was in Summerville SC a ...
