I've bought small Livistona rotundifolia last autumn and didn't want to wait until spring. Though I've divided plants accurately, the small one has died. It should be better to replant in growing period when plants grow and much light. Absolutely agree with oppalm. Good luck!

To tell true, I'm very impressed that there was no heating.
Last winter was extremal situation, don't believe it will repeat again; if so, the damages could be more severe.
Anyway palms aren't "dye-back perennials"... :(

Happy Palm Sunday!

According to national finnish holiday of Palm Sunday, I opened my palmbed today. :lol: :lol: :lol: Surprisely most of the plants are safe and alive as mice as frosts didn't kill them. It was so beautiful, Jim, last summer! I am very sad that many of your plants are dead.
Don't still know what picture is waiting for me when I open the covers (on Palm Sunday ;D ).

I had Nannorhops (green and blue), Washy (filifera and filibusta), 2 Sabal minor - all they died. 2 Raphys steel don't move (spear rot). Trachy takil and nana also.
