Well done and plays fine I think, Barb! Your Trachy and I both like it!
I begin to think about the same thing but have to make it stronger because frosts here happen to -30C.

Hi Barb and Cameron , thank you very much! Butia was planted in spring 2008 as a small 1-2-year old seedling. It doesn't grow rapidly as declared but last year the first pinnate leaves are appeared. This winter we have much snow again. And frosts also. But daytime is slowly growing and next spring (...

Serj , I've read at GardenWeb forum that A. araucana is much more hardier in comparison to A. angustifolia. The first one grows in Scotland, Southern Norway and Sweden without damages. The second one...? I planted one of my small A.a. in the garden this summer (near Aucuba), it becames more happy, ...

Hi Yuri , many thanks for sharing the photos of your super extreme palms. They all look really great. I think that with regular watering and fertilizing all of them will successfully recover this summer. It could be useful to use some kind of mulch (e.g. wood saw / shawing / bark) to protect the soi...

Hi friends, thanks for compliments, but I've made very few at all, it's all palms only. :D I don't use heating cables, only outer protection (usually our winters aren't very cold), and the simplest (and cheapest) way to protect better is to throw some more snow after the next snowfall. The most nort...
