Hope the little J-Tree pulls through! It's such a cool plant. You're probably right about the sudden shift in temps. having an unusually adverse effect on the plant. It looks bad, but not that bad? Neat to see y. rostrata handling -25c so well. Thanks for the pics!

Thanks Aaron! These two yuccas are probably a good 3-5 Idaho years, at least, (30-50 Calgary years) away from seedling, so I'd like to bring 'em through, they'd be hard to replace in short order. Perhaps I should have brought them in :roll: . Anyhow, we'll see what happens! Thanks!

Sure, rub it in Paul :x , 8) .! It's amazing the moderating influence of large bodies of water isn't it? I always figure those Trachys on English Bay, in Vancouver, for example are way better off than plants further inland...in the winter, that is. They likely miss out on inland heat, in the summer....
