Hello from Virginia Beach! Definitely visit the beach, First Landing State Park, and Pungo Palms if you have time (www.pungopalms.freeservers.com or something). Just driving down the road you should see a few palms on almost every street. Unfortunately, a lot of places and people don't take care of ...

Arenga engleri seedlings & many others

Hi all :) , Long time, no see! I'm just going to post this for future reference or if anyone wants to take them immediately. I have 2 community pots of Arenga engleri seedlings that have between 5 to 7 in each pot. I don't know how many exactly. They aren't hardy here and I would like to put them up ...

Wxman, I really like how you protected all of your palms. I feel like a bad member of the palm community for not protecting some of my stuff and now my Butia has spear pull etc. Good job! I should have taken more care of mine. As for your bananas (not pictures here I don't think), I think you will ...

Hey Steve! Yours look great.

The 2 you sent me had problems with mites, but I think the mites are just about gone, and hopefully now I can put them in the greenhouse (I had to quarantine them as not to spread the mites).

Oh no!!! What can you do...my brother used to garden...he actually bought our original Trachy Fortunei (which I killed...wrapped it when i was 9) ( thought I had to).

Maybe he'll marry a plant friend.

And hey, when he gets a house of his own, that just gives you more room to play/plant with!!!!!

Looks great.

Only suggestion - needs a day bed for those winter months where you just need some tropical views.

Your Robusta seems to be going upwards, rather than mine which is going upwards, but fattening at the base.

I received these palms from Steve in the dead middle of winter, but they are all sending out new fronds. Ill admit, there is 2 Citrus and 3 Revoluta that arent from him in this pic, but I thought he would want an update at least. I am sure by the end of this growing season, all of the dead and dying ...

It even sleeted this morning. NOT GOOD, since I just planted all the Musa out.
