I wondered how my plants made out over this winter. I think there was one 1 day in Feb. That got above freezing (a 70 year record or something...) I was expecting a few casualties. But everything is as good as expected or perhaps even better. My musa basjoo is screaming to be released from the boxes...

Your opuntia has put on some excellent growth. I buried my opuntia in a bucket as the variety I have isn't hardy here. I've only put on one pad but I might not have it in the most ideal spot nor has the summer really co-operated.

It gets pretty quiet here in the summer everyone is outside enjoying the good weather.

Bananas love to be well watered and fed I have slow release on them when I see it start to fade I put more on it seems fine with what I do.

Really? I think I need to rent a truck and head west I got a double Chammy about that size for $120 last year. My chammy did fantastic over the winter very pleased with the results.

My wife and I are currently in Mexico scouting out a winter home. Probably just a condo with a roof top terrace. I have a job that allows me to work from anywhere. My wife isn't as lucky but we might be able to get her job to allow her to cover vacations in the summer. We shall see.

Tonight I'll apparently hit -5c 23F the lows for the rest of the week are between between -4c 26F and -1c 30F. The days are getting too hot to leave the boxes on Tuesday will be 15c 60F I don't see the cold as much of an issue for a Trachy to handle.
