When the pollen mixture came down through the bottom, did it come down only on one side, or did it come down from all sides? Sometimes, if you only put the eye dropper on one side, it doesn't get the chance to get mixed throughout the entire cone. If it came down on all sides, you should get a real ...

A granular 20-20-20 would be fine. I'm using something stronger than that. If you like to experiment, try mixing a tablespoon of lecithin and a tablespoon of Karo syrup in a warm gallon of water (it is hard to mix up well) and shake that up real good, and use that to water the plants, about once eve...

It isn't always the age of the plant that is required for coning, but the energy levels and the starch mass of the stem that will get you cones faster. Barb...

-8C for short periods of time will totally defoliate a revoluta but it normally takes about -10 to outright kill them. If you have these temperatures for a solid 4 or 5 days, then that temperature can very much totally kill the plant. Covering does a pretty good job, but for prolonged lengths of tim...

So, what temperatures are you experiencing? What are your lows, what are the durations of below freezing temperatures? If I know what you are dealing with, I could give you a fairly accurate answer on what you would have to do to keep them alive.
