Uncovered Washy

Well actually it was uncovered about 2 weeks ago and looked pretty good but the constant pounding of cold wind and rain beat it up a bit,not to mention the 28F temp last night didn't do it any favors. I'm hoping it should be fine.... http://s20.postimg.org/gj3jvrg55/Picture_453.jpg http://s20.postim...

Jim, Most of the burn happened before I got it covered in early December, and some bulb burns. I have it set on a thermocube, the only thing the lights did was letting me know it was working. I learned my lesson on waiting to long to get things protected, those nights in the 20's can do alot of damage ...

Yes I saw your other post with the leave bag problems but thankfully you caught it in time to save them. Nothing worse than a huge moister build up and stagnent air to go with it. All my greenhouse palms still look great, some nights it gets down in the 20's F in there and they come through with fly...

Thanks Barb!, I think the mini heater with the fan helped circulate the air inside keeping the moisture down.
I'm not going to take any chances on taking down the enclosure until at least the second week in April.

Inside my Washy enclosure

Well my curiosity got the best of me over the weekend,so with the sun out and temps. only in the 20's I cut a small hole and snapped a few shots. So far I'm pleasantly surprised. No huge moisture build up and only a few brown spots on the fronds. Thanks for looking..... http://s20.postimage.org/8j3z...

wxman, Yeah I was wondering why Steins stopped selling them. I think they're nuts for offering free replacement/refund on their nursery stock up to 2 years.
