Kansas City Area

All fronds on my big prized windmill are burnt from this winters brutal cold. Looks horrible. This is it's 4th winter in ground. I will be crushed if i lose it! Needle and s.minors all look perfect with no heat!

Hopefully those trachy's will be fine! Im sure they will especially if they have been in the ground awhile. Our Midwest winter too has been really mild! I would definitely keep an eye on the forecast though and not be caught off guard. Im sure you do :wink:

Mild in Midwest KC So Far!

Nice winter so far in my area? Here in Raytown, MO my palms have only been down to 20F once so far and that was last night! Along my south wall/foundation the lowest temp has been 27f. Forecast 50s to 60f this coming week with lows in the mid 20f to 40f range! This cant last can it?? :?

Im sure most everyone knows this but I just wanted to warn anyone using C-9 lights for heat when overwintering about the possible fire hazards especially when also using dried leaves. Last winter (Dec. 28th, 2010) I had a fire that I luckily managed to put out but not before it had completely burned...
